| Caroline Goodall's acting career is spiced with numerous roles in award-winning feature films, backed with a foundation in British theater.
Goodall previously starred on screen with Mandy Moore in Garry Marshall's hit comedy The Princess Diaries, with Julie Andrews. Among her other U.S. features are two films with Steven Spielberg, as Moira in Hook, and Emilie Schindler in Schindler's List. She also starred in Disclosure, directed by Barry Levinson, and opposite Jeff Bridges in Ridley Scott's seafaring adventure White Squall, and as bad girl Krystal in Cliffhanger.
Goodall also works regularly in Australia and Europe. Nominated twice for Best Actress by the Australian Film Institute for Hotel Sorrento and Cassidy, she also starred with Russell Crowe in The Silver Stallion. Her European films include Secret Laughter of Women with Colin Firth, Les Epees des Diamants, with Jason Flemyng, and Opernbal with Franka Potente. She also starred in the BAFTA-nominated television films Sex and Death and The Sculptress. Polyglot Goodall speaks Italian and French.
Her recent television productions include Queen Igraine in Mists of Avalon, and the British Prime Minister Laura Bowden in this year's Me and Mrs. Jones. Goodall is possibly the only actress to have played a British Prime Minister, Queen of England, and First Lady, in a two-year time span.
Her theater credits include starring roles with the prestigious Royal Shakespeare Company, Royal National Theater, and Royal Court. Among her stage performances are Richard III, Misalliance, and the role of Viola in Twelfth Night. U.S. theater includes The Secret Rapture, at South Coast Rep.
Goodall's 2003 releases include the role of Sandy in the Indie comedy Easy with Brian O'Byrne and Margerite Moreau; and Ms. Duke in Shattered Glass, with Hayden Christiansen and Chloe Sevigny.
