James LeGros is an American film and television actor. He is known as a star of independent films with a diversified body of work in the early to mid 1990s. His last name is pronounced Le-Grow.

Biography

Early life

LeGros was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota to a teacher mother and real estate broker father, and was raised in Redlands, California. He attended the Professional Conservatory at South Coast Repertory in California, as well as the University of California.

Career

One of his best-known roles was in Living In Oblivion . LeGros played Chad Palomino, a male acting diva with endless 'a-list' star demands for a 'b-movie' director and crew. LeGros appeared on Showtime's Sleeper Cell and on Law & Order. He was also a cast member on the television show Ally McBeal and guest starred on ER, Roseanne, Punky Brewster, The Outer Limits and Friends. Currently, he can be seen portraying Dr. Dan Harris on the NBC series Mercy. LeGros is the son-in-law of actor Robert Loggia.
