Joey Lauren Adams most recently starred in Kevin Smith's Chasing Amy for which she received a Golden Globe Award nomination for Best Actress for her critically acclaimed performance. Adams will next be seen in the Shirley MacLaine comedy-drama Bruno, starring opposite Kathy Bates and Gary Sinise.

The Arkansas native has made a name for herself with standout performances, including the pie-eating waitress in Nora Ephron's Michael opposite John Travolta, one half of the singing duo (with Parker Posey) in Sleep With Me, and as high school upperclassman Simone in the Richard Linklater cult classic Dazed and Confused. Other feature film credits include A Cool Dry Place, Mallrats, Bio-Dome, The Program, The Coneheads and SFW.

Adams moved to Los Angeles and soon established herself on the small screen with appearances in Vinny and Bobby, Top of the Heap and Married...With Children. More recently, she had a recurring role on the highly acclaimed ABC series Second Noah.
