Lauren Bush was born in Texas to father Neil and mother Sharon. She has a younger sister, Ashley, who appears to share her striking genetic disposition as well. As a high-school student in Houston, Lauren kept busy with the demands of homework and extracurricular activities such as photography, jazz and ballet. She also plays tennis and soccer and stays in shape with kickboxing, spinning and yoga.

Lauren spent a summer studying fashion design at the renowned Parson School of Design. A model for several years now, Lauren has graced the cover of Town and Country (September 2001 issue), the London fashion magazine Tatler, Vogue, W, Talk, and Vanity Fair. She has worked for Italian designer Gai Mattiolo, Abercrombie & Fitch and is the face of Tommy Hilfiger. Pirelli chose her as the cover model for their limited edition 2002 calendar.

Lauren has devoted her time to public service in typical Bush style. She has done work on behalf of children's shelters, hospitals, women re-entering the workforce, and various animal rights groups. Entertainment Tonight has featured her working with Anthony Shriver and Kip Forbes on behalf of Best Buddies -- a non-profit organization based in Houston dedicated to enhancing the lives of people with neuro-developmental disabilities. Gaining experience in the world of television, Lauren worked as an intern on the set of the NBC show Friends, and appeared in an episode as an extra. Lauren also has aspirations of entering business school, but for now, modeling is where it's at.
