She moved to Los Angeles in 1996 and has been working steadily ever since. Among her feature film credits are The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle, Desperate but Not Serious and Let's Talk About Sex. On television, Brewster starred in the series, Love and Money and the TV movie MAX Q with Billy Campbell. She was also the voice of Audrey in the animated series Godzilla. Her additional stage credits include Four Dragons and a Bone, Chapter Two and Pack of Lies.
