| Parker Posey hails from Laurel, Mississippi the daughter of Chris Posey owner of Laurel's own Posey Chevrolet. Parker attended high school at North Carolina School of the Arts and college at the prestigious SUNY Purchase. Named "Queen of Indies" by Time Magazine, Parker Posey has appeared over 30 films in the last 7 years including The House Of Yes (Special Jury Prize 1997 Sundance Film Festival, director: Mark Waters), SubUrbia (director: Richard Linklater), Waiting For Guffman (director: Christopher Guest), The Daytrippers (director: Greg Mottola), Party Girl (director: Daisy Von Sherler Mayer), Sleep With Me (director: Rory Kelly), Dazed And Confused (director: Richard Linklater), You've Got Mail (director: Nora Ephron) and three films for Hal Hartley; Amateur, Flirt and Henry Fool.
She has recently starred in the movies Adam & Steve (2004) playing the role of Rhonda, and Laws of Attraction (2004) as Serena. Parker Posey has also featured in many movies such as Mighty Wind, A (2003), Event, The (2003), and Hell on Heels: The Battle of Mary Kay (2002). Some of Parker Posey's early movie break throughs were in First Love, Fatal Love (1991), Sleepless in Seattle (1993) as Lulu , Coneheads (1993) as Stephanie, and Dazed and Confused (1993) as Darla Marks. Also starred in the following television shows Further Tales of the City (2001) playing Connie Bradshaw Fetzner, More Tales of the City (1998), Tales of the City (1993), and As the World Turns (1956). She is about to begin production on Universal's Josie and The Pussycats' in which she stars opposite Alan Cumming.
