 Riley Smith

 Full Name :Riley Smith
Date of birth :12 April 1978
Place of birth :Cedar Rapids, Iowa, USA
 Height :6' (1.83 m)
  • Was the President of the AQHYA (American Quarter Horse Youth Association) in 1996 - 1997. It is the largest single breed horse youth association in the world, with over 25,000 members.
  • Had to learn how to ride a dirtbike for Motocrossed (2001) (TV).
  • He was Ashton Kutcher's roommate in New York City after knowing each other in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, their hometown.
  • He was offered the role in "Spring break shark attack", after screen testing and almost landing the title role of "Elvis" for CBS.

The world was given a grand addition when on April 12th,1982 Riley Smith (son of Russ & Roxanne Smith, Brother of Raquel) was born. As a kid Riley grew up on the family horse farm in Marion Iowa.

By the time he was 16 he had won an AQHYA World Chamionship Title. He then proceeded to serve as 1995-96 AQHYA Corresponding Vice President and 1996-97 AQHYA President. (and for you horse people we all know thats no small feat, especially since AQHA is the largest breed registry in the world). He also served as President, 1st Vice President, and State Delegate for the Iowa Junior QH Association.

And besides being a genuine cowboy Riley was also a three-sport varsity letter athlete in his former school Albernett High, was selected for the All-Conference Basketball team, and won the 1996 Iowa High School Speech Contest.

Not to stop there in his senior year of high school Riley was urged by friends and talent agents to take a go at the model and entertainment industry. Always ready to take a challenge Riley packed up and made his way to New York. He quickly attracted attention (which is understandable) and began working on ads for the likes of Tommy Hilfiger, Armani, Palzileri. Though possibly his biggest break came when his Paco Sports Billboard Campaign was up in New York City's Time Square.

Even though his modeling career was proving lucrative Riley wanted to pursue his dream of being an actor, so Riley made another big change in his life and moved to Hollywood. It seemed fated that he was going to be an actor, within weeks of his arrival Riley was cast in the TV series pilot "Central High" and booked serveral international commercials. He then went on to star in the Doug Liman, European short "Space Boy" with Dominique Swain. After that wrapped Riley began working as host of "American Teen Video Magazine."

Riley has yet to slow down. He starred in the film "Voodoo Academy." He also played the starring role of "Michael Lampson" in "Lovers Lane" and starred as "Josh Harding" in "Wild Grizzly" opposite Daniel Baldwin. This year Riley played "Todd Shledinger" at McKinnley High School on the short lived NBC comedy series, Freaks and Geeks. Riley also recently played the role of conniving, but mysteriously charming "Tyler Smith" on the highly acclaimed WB series "7th Heaven" and has also guest starred this year on NBC's series "Hang Time," "One World", Warner Brothers "Movie Stars." and was a series regular on last season's WB Pilot "Minor Threat." As if this weren't enough Riley was also cast this season as a regular on the highly regarded WB pilot "Learning Curve." He is currently filming in San Diego Disney's "Motocrossed." Look for it on The Disney Channel in February. Look for Riley on Television this month on Once & Again.
