This Leads to a battle between two anchor-persons. Grade : B - Boston Globe - There's really not much more to ''Anchorman,'' which proceeds in crassly inspired fits and starts and occasionally ventures far out to left field. Much of the comedy comes from uncredited guest stars showing up as anchormen from rival stations. I won't divulge names, but anyone who saw ''Old School'' can guess most of them, other than the recent Oscar winner appropriately cast as a PBS newsman.   more Grade : B - Chicago Tribune - One of the main jokes of the movie, in fact, is that though the on-camera news characters are dopey--Ron, for example, always reads anything on his teleprompter-- they're not notably less silly than the talent we might have seen back in the `70s, or right now. All the characters here, in fact, could probably get hired anywhere and so could the four rival cameo news anchors who meet Ron for a news-rumble: embittered also-ran Vince Vaughn, luckless Luke Wilson, pipe-smoking PBS man Tim Robbins and Hispanic news firebrand Ben Stiller.   more Grade : B + Cincinnati Enquirer -But it is Ferrell who carries the movie, waggling his pasty, fur-lined frame or bellowing lines like ''I'm expressing my inner anguish through the majesty of song!''    more   For rating reasons : filmrating.com, mpaa.com                                    For Parents : Parentalguide.com
