The various farm animals overhear this and, knowing she won't be able to come up with the money, hatch their own plan. The cows consult the family horse (Cuba Gooding Jr.), who turns out to be a former bounty hunter. And it just so happens he's heard about a bandit on the loose in a nearby town. The price on the crook's head? A tidy $1,000.  Critic Reviews Grade : C Chicago Tribune - 'Home on the Range,' the new Walt Disney cartoon feature, is a big Western with six good Alan Menken songs (sung by Bonnie Raitt, k.d. lang, Tim McGraw and others), lots of funny animals, expensive animation and star voice actors (Roseanne Barr, Judi Dench and Cuba Gooding Jr.), along with a central premise that struck me as ridiculous.   more Grade : B Cincinnati Enquirer - Yes, it's all insanely outlandish.
