It`s All About Love, is a classic love story of two lovers fighting for their love and ultimately for their lives in a world out of balance. John (Joaquin Phoenix) and the world famous ice skater Elena (Claire Danes) have a cosmopolitan marriage and have lived apart for a number of years. John in Poland, Elena mostly in New York. Time has made the distance between them grow, and eventually John goes to see Elena in New York to get a divorce. But as John arrives in New York he realizes that unexpected and inexplicable things are going on around Elena. The people he knew as friends, might not be friends after all. The love he thought had died, bursts into flame again. And it becomes up to John to save Elena from her destiny.
 Critic Reviews

Grade :
E! Online - It's all about lovely visuals, actually. This offbeat flick is set in an ice-agey future (2021) where people drop dead in the streets from a mysterious heart disease and Ugandans float above ground as their country loses gravity.   more

Grade :
Film Threat - From what I gather, “It’s All About Love” centers on the loss of love in the world and specifically, between that of John (Phoenix) and Elena (Danes). John arrives in an incredibly phony New York to serve Elena divorce papers. I say phony in that the people John encounters put on false faces of cheerfulness as they greet John and then proceed to step over dead bodies that pollute the city.    more

Grade :
New York Post - The resulting New York-set oddity is highly polished and features some dazzling set pieces. But there's something inherently frustrating about the illogical plot and the breezy vagueness of its message, which seems to be linking the global freezing of a near-future world with the coldness in people's hearts.    more

Grade :
New York Times - This ambitious re-creation underscores the film's hot-house unreality but doesn't explain it. Just because a movie was shot indoors doesn't mean it should sound as if it was recorded inside a clothes closet with a unidirectional microphone. Alternately tinny and muffled, the voices here seem to have been miked to create a disjuncture between the speakers and their words,    more
