 Critic Reviews

Grade : A
Chicago Sun-Times : The movie opens with a long closeup of The Bride (Uma Thurman) behind the wheel of a car, explaining her mission, which is to kill Bill. There is a lot of explaining in the film; Tarantino writes dialogue with quirky details that suggest the obsessions of his people.   more

Grade : B+
Cincinnati Enquirer : Kill Bill Vol. 2, though equally stylish, reveals the director's fondness for the emotional tones that make his characters so memorable. While still exuberantly violent, the film moves in on its key players and away from the gaudy,    more

Grade : B
ReelViews : it's still a good motion picture - a clear improvement upon episode one. There's much less action, a lot more talking, and a legitimate effort to build the characters played by Uma Thurman and David Carradine. Those in search of a kung-fu gore-fest like Volume 1 will be sorely disappointed.   more

Grade : A-
USA Today : Credit writer/director Quentin Tarantino for making this moment almost as compelling as the rowdy rest, while also symbolizing how Vol. 2 differs from Vol. 1 (now on DVD, see above). Or at least within a pulp framework that dictates almost everything but the sandwich be over the top.   more
