Eva Mendes: Plans to reunite with Nicolas Cage for on-screen role

Actress Eva Mendes is making plans to reunite with Nicolas Cage, her Ghost Rider partner for Werner Herzog's update of 1992 pulp classic titled The Bad Lieutenant. This hot news has been published in a report of a popular magazine of United States.

Few details about Eva Mendes’ latest venture have been gathered from a handful of sources. All is known is that thirty four year old actress is going to portray a role which would be a far cry from her and Cage's family-friendly comic-book collaboration.

The original Bad Lieutenant which has been portrayed by Harvey Keitel was a corrupt detective from New York who has likeness for various ill-practices like gambling, drugs and sex. However he has decided to seek out redemption while investigating a nun's rape.

Eva Mendes next venture for the month of September is a remake of George Cuckor's The Women. Meg Ryan and Annette Bening have acted as her co-stars. It will be followed by Frank Miller's The Spirit, another comic-based flick. It is scheduled to be released at the end of the year.

The sources have said that shooting of ‘The Bad Lieutenant’ will begin from late summer.
